April Fun Outside

We have had some nice weather here lately so the kids and I have headed outdoors.
Andie can pull herself up to stand now and has started moving around holding onto things. I am pretty sure she is teething so she has been a little more whiny and started to take a binky.

And she just loves to put anything in her mouth, especially sticks and leaves, and today at the park she felt sand and tried to eat that too.
Here is my child of summer, banged up knees on the first warm day. Oh my heck, Kacen was doing the absolute funniest thing the other day, he would take his car to the top of the driveway and while ridding down try to take a drink from his water bottle. He repeated this three or four times til he was well hydrated, haha.
This kid plays so hard, it is too cool

Smore's in the bright sun at 11:00 am after yard work while burning yard debris? Yes please.
So cute little saggy pants, he insisted on wearing these shorts and I accidentally let him walk around most of the day with them on backwards, luckily his bff caught my mistake and helped us out.

Oh also Andie loves her brother, she wants everything he has, she wants to be right on top of him all the time and just smiles and laughs at him all the time, especially when he is screaming and crying. However, Kacen very rarely shares the same sentiment and often yells at her for touching his things and he now wants to be held all the time and carried up the stairs like she is. But this does mean I still get lots of snuggles and hugs and kisses from my Kaceroo so that isn't too bad. Little Andie bear sure has started to pitch fits, that one. Her back arching is quite perfected, and the fake crying that stops the moment you pick her up is sort of convincing. But she is just such a cutie doll.

Our Weekend

Ky worked this weekend so I braved the first day of soccer alone, won't be doing that again.
This pretty much sums up how it went for Kace, haha.

No Actually he loved it but mostly just at the beginning when all the kids were just kicking the balls around with no real direction. The coach directed stations weren't nearly as exciting and waiting in line to shoot was rough but.....we weren't the first tantrum and we didn't have to leave early, like some kids. So in my book it was a success.
Now the failure came when it was time to leave. Yikes! He was not happy about that, hence I need both hands for him alone next week.

Saturday night we went to our church roadshow. It was really fun, even if it is youth directed productions thrown together in two days, some amount of music and dancing makes me feel cultured. I really really really love plays and musicals and pretty much any production except orchestra performances, sorry.

Today we went to church, Ky's main objective was to find an eight year-old kid to get the name of a game he was playing on his device at the roadshow (he is now sitting next to me playing said game). We had a nice, simple, lunch then headed over to the park with the kiddos.

Yes I do let my kids out in public in messy clothes

I forgot the best parts! Andie started crawling this week, like for real! She is so cute that thing. And Kacen started using three word sentences, "I want cake," "look at that," and just so many words we didn't even know he knew. That kid is so smart, I am so thankful for wonderful programs that are out there to help get kids talking.

Life is super fun with my kids right now, she says after a nice day having her husband home and available (not with his nose in a book) all day. Yeah tomorrow is another day, and also this week was full of some pretty not so spectacular moments, mostly on my end and not dealing with situations the right way, anyway you live you learn.

Yes I do let my kids play with sharp sticks

And yes I do love my kids, haha. I wish this picture wasn't blurry but I do just love it. After taking this shot I told Ky to get Andie and let us take a picture together so he went and pulled her stroller over next to us all white trash like, haha.

It has been a very nice weekend.

Oh and to top it off Maddie and Valarie made caramel popcorn, the good chewy kind! I have already eaten like two bowls of it.

A Little Bit of This

Easter Saturday we did an egg hunt for Kacer-roo

Andie was quite facinated with the eggs and Kacen loved it when he found out that some had candy inside. Having a three year-old is great cuz I only split up one small container of mini M&M's in his eggs and that was more than plenty of candy for him. He was starting to get sick of candy by the last two and saved them for later. I did have jelly beans too but he tried some on Friday and decided he didn't like them.

Such a cutie, and I don't know what my deal is but I love her "drunk eye" photos. They just make me laugh.
For April Fools Day we had the LDS Missionaries over for dinner. We made red jello in a pitcher, and I asked an Elder to pour Kace some juice but he realized before pouring that it was weird.
After dinner I asked them if they would like a brownie for desert. The Elders were super excited so I pulled out two of these and put them on plates.
(thanks blogger for switching my photo)
I didn't even make it the table without laughing, I thought I was so funny serving them "brown E's"

Oh man but I did make a killer apple pizza for desert, oh so good!

Then Kacen got real sick, if you are my facebook friend you already read about the throw up.
He threw up so much, so much, yuck. Then he had a fever and sore throat. The test was negative for strep and he seems to be feeling some what better today. But Wednesday and Thursday were sort of nice when he was all lethargic.
 Andie bean sleepy head.
 Family snuggle time.
This is what he sat around looking like for nearly two days. He would let me read him super long books too, it was really nice.
Welp that's our week. Ok I am going to tell you guys cuz I am pretty excited, I am working on a new blog. I am almost ready to launch but still working out some kinks, it isn't anything amazing, but it will still be fun.
